Flux Playground

FLUX Playground was Black Forest Labs’ browser-based environment for experimenting with its FLUX generative image models and tools. It gave users a visual interface for generating and editing images without needing to work directly with an API. FLUX models are designed for text-to-image generation and image editing, with capabilities built around visual quality, prompt understanding, and image manipulation. However, the product is currently being transitioned: Black Forest Labs announced that the original FLUX Playground is being retired and browser-based experimentation is moving to its Dev Playground. The company says existing API users are not affected by the Playground transition. Therefore, anyone researching the tool today should treat “FLUX Playground” as the legacy browser experience and use Black Forest Labs’ current Dev Playground for ongoing model experimentation.
